Idaho stop
Idaho adopted the rule in 1982 during a routine tidying of its traffic code, with no cycling campaign behind it, and later analyses found no rise in cyclist injuries. Delaware, Colorado, and other states passed versions of it long afterward, by which time the rule was universally named for Idaho.
