Seattle

It is named for a city rather than a tradition: nobody eats it in Japan.

The Seattle roll is a close relative of the Philadelphia roll, and the salmon and cream cheese pairing belongs to American sushi counters rather than Japanese ones. The salmon is often smoked or seared instead of raw. Both rolls follow the American habit of naming an inside out roll for the city that sells it.
