The entry

The dogs were kept in eastern Thailand as guards and hunters for centuries and were barely known abroad until the 1990s. The same reversed ridge appears in the Phu Quoc dog of Vietnam and the Rhodesian Ridgeback, and whether it arose separately or traveled by sea remains unsettled.
