Sèvres ware
The factory moved to Sèvres outside Paris in 1756 and passed into Louis XV's ownership three years later, producing the deep blues and gilded reserves collectors still chase. The town lent its name to one more export: the 1920 Treaty of Sèvres was signed in the factory's own museum.
