The entry

The Karl Marx confectionery factory in Kyiv, now part of Roshen, produced the first cakes in 1956, and the company's own legend credits a batch of egg whites left out overnight. English keeps the older Kiev transliteration in the cake's name even though the city is now written Kyiv.
