indialite
Akiho Miyashiro and Tetsuo Iiyama described indialite in 1954 from the Bokaro coal seam southwest of Hazaribagh, in what was then Bihar. The mineral forms only at high temperature, and the heat here came from the burning seam itself rather than from any igneous body. It has since been found in a volcanic setting at the Bellerberg in the German Eifel.
