The entry

Gilalite was described in 1980 from the Christmas copper mine in Gila County, Arizona, and named for the county rather than the mine. Type material went to the Natural History Museum in London. Included fibers of gilalite in Brazilian quartz are cut as gems under the trade name medusa or paraiba quartz.
