Well attestedWiktionary places this one near Linz in Austria; the village is actually on the Rhine in Germany, several hundred kilometers away.
Ehlite was named for the village of Ehl, now called Obererl, in Kasbach-Ohlenberg near Linz am Rhein in Rhineland-Palatinate. In 1950 L. G. Berry examined specimens labeled ehlite drawn from several museum collections and found every one of them to be pseudomalachite. The name has not been a valid species since, but it survives on old labels and in dictionaries.
